Choice in LED?

First of all let me say hi and thanks for all the information here. Kinda overwhelming. This is my first post, and am looking for guidance on a LED flashlight that will use 123 batteries. One of two cells preferred. I am trying to minimize how many different batteries I have to use. I would prefer a light with a regulated powersupply for constant light output. Please fire away on your suggestions. Price isn't too much of an issue, but I would like high quality, and brightness. The coolness factor is always a bonus. Thanks in advance.

I currently carry an ARC AAA-P (thanks to this forum on the outstanding reviews), I use a Surefire G2Z at work (work around electrical panels and don't like the idea of getting electricuted), and have a Surefire G2 for my pack to save weight.

Seeing as you've let yourself open for a long list of recommendations let me be the first /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinser2.gif .

I regularly carry and use a Surefire L4 and Longbow Micra, both are regulated Luxeon Star LED's. L4 is 2 x CR123, 5 Watts and more of a flood beam, Micra is 1 x CR123, 1 Watt with a more concetrated beam.

Another one to look at would be the Pelican M6 LED, Not regulated but well built and priced at around $45.

It really depends what you're going to use it for as to which flashlight would be best for you.

You might look at the Inova X0. You'll find a number of threads here about this 1W (2) 123 cell light.

The Inova 24/7 uses a single CR123A cell, and 4 of its 8 LEDs are white. For steady-on white light, there are two brightness levels to choose from. And the case is all plastic, so you won't get zapped if you use it in a live electrical panel.
