Circuit for a microswitch w/boost & level controls

Anybody have a circuit that will boost a voltage and have multi level control from two seperate micro switch inputs- one switch for on/off one switch for level control. Must be able to work off of 1.0 volt input and be able to supply at least 1 amp at boosted voltage into leds. Standby current draw should be low < 50 microamps, even better- picoamps . Formfactor should be small < 1cm square total volume.

I'd be interested too. I've got programs and circuits for PIC and ATtiny, but those don't work at 1V input... unless you can bootstrap it somehow.

Hello again,

I think most boost circuits that go up that high (1amp)
usually use 2 cells (3v nominal) because the input current
(drain on the cell) for one cell alone would be quite
high -- perhaps 4 or 5 amps or more at 3.5 volts output
and 1 volt input. With 6 volts output even worse.
