This is one serious little bugger.

Upgraded YNKA, with (fresh) 3.0v UltraFire

vs QIII, with fresh 3.7v AW RCR123A
The Seoul emitter produces a better output than my stock QIII. Bigger hot spot (with no rings) was expected; but a superior useable spill, was not.

vs Stock YNKA, with fresh 3.7v AW RCR2
Night & day differance. Best comparison that comes to mind is the (stock) LILL's Hi & Low setting.

I can only imagine what the Seoul upgrade does to the LILL.

I just received my headlamp and I just gotta say, I'm disappointed............

I thought I was going to really like this light.......it turns out I LOVE IT!!! HAHA!

I've been looking for this baby my whole life. I turned it on thinking WOW that is a nice bright beam, turns out the thing was on LOW. This baby is a torch and 1/2. My new favorite light, no doubt.

I received the VILDBAR and the HASTO today also. What else can I say but WOW, much brighter than expected. I agree with Sizzlechest on the HASTO.

I have been able to get my emitters cheaper from PhotonFanatic since this sale began. I'll be starting to use these less expensive emitters from now on, so I'm going to pass the savings along.

The price has been lowered a couple bucks. A few of you have a pre-order, you will see a partial refund from me today. (DeLighted, Ken 222, Nvr2brt)

I know this is the "wrong" thread, but this thread is still active and read by people so I wanted to add a little feedback. I received one of Paul's specials yesterday, the stainless steel RAKET, and I couldn't be more pleased. As others have also mentioned, these SSC-modded lights are BRIGHT! To get this kind of brightness out of such small and inexpensive lights running off common AAA's is amazing, especially considering what was available only a year ago. The tint and beam pattern are just right for me. Thanks, Paul! :rock:

Again, I'd like to state how great Paul's mods are. I have 3 VIPPA's, one will go as a gift. They out-perform my Lumapower F1 and were very close in comparison to the 1 X AA set up Lumapower M3 ( when I had it ). You will not be disappointed in anything you get from him. Thx again Paul. :thumbsup:

I've been looking for another headlamp. All I have right now is the RiverRock headlamp and though I'm satisfied with it for now, I'm really looking forward to your modded hasto.
