I never tried any voltage above 3.0 primaries... and I haven't seen vendor data regarding it's voltage capabilities. Sorry! :(

I haven't tried running the WF-602A1 on 3.6V batteries. I am not sure the driver can handle it, I would not recommend trying it unless you can find someone else who has done so. It has the stock driver board, I only changed the emitter.

Here's a link to the sales page for the non-mod: http://www.batteryjunction.com/wf602a1.html

Man, I totally missed this thread.

If you have another L0P-SSCE :D, I'll take it! Slim chance, I know...

luminari,

The closest thing I have is a Fenix E1-47 that I paid 4sevens $60 for, then turned around and upgraded to a Seoul emitter for another $13. It runs 5.3 hours putting out a modest 22 lumens. The beam is awesome, it's just not a wall burner.

I don't suppose you would part with $80 (shipped and paypal'ed) for a E1-SSCE?

:p

You might want #7. It's the same beam pattern many D-Mini owners are satisfied with, despite it's ringy appearance on a wall (hey, if you're going to burn the wall down, who cares what the wall looks like?) :)

Paul,

Received my light today. Tiny! I didn't have a CR2 light before this. Awesomely packaged also, I took a mental note of that packing technique to use for myself in the future

Finally, the light:
WOW its freakin bright. Easily brighter than my Jetbeam MKI on a 14500, however the jet's color is much whiter - this kind of ends up as a ****-yellow color in the center and then white on the outer part of the hotspot, its the weirdest thing I've ever seen - but this is just when wall or snow hunting. This in no way makes it any less awesome though, I personally don't care about light tint that much unless its puke green

Thanks for the great work and quick shipping - this thing is AWESOME

myk,

Glad you like it :)

The thing about lights that throw really well... they don't mix up the colors very well. The tend to converge the image of the LED directly onto the wall. So if the LED is more yellow on-center, and more blue off-center, it will result in the same tint variation in the beam. I've noticed this to varying extents in the Seoul LED's, also NewBie has posted some pictures to that extent.

Regardless, it's a very useful light all around and oh so tiny!

Received the Seoul LOP last night. Simple, very bright, and no PWM. Great work!!! Thank you. All the guys at work were amazed that something so small could be so bright.

Oh yeah, I didn't think about the fact you can't buy a AAA Cree light without PWM. Maybe I should have made more.

Enjoy impressing the guys!
