honestly i probably won't be making any more doohickies /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

everything needs to be extremely precise in order to work well. i'm almost surprised i got it right the first time when making this one.

boy though, it sure does work well /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif i've used it on a lux3 and 5w so far, and the beams are perrrrrfect /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Orion, here is a graph of the current vs time. If you make an assumption that brightness is directly proportional to current (I know I know, it is... up to a point only), you will see a direct drive 9v LuxV will be brighter at first (if it is a X-bin DD) but it will taper off reasonably quickly. The MR-X will stay constant for more than 1 hr (the graph shows brand new NiMh 2000mAh in use).

Man, where are more of those X3Ts hiding!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
