Anyone have one of these? It interests me because of its listed long run time, uses 123s (shelf life), attractive.

It says that you can focus the beam. Does this mean you can get a decent flood out of it? Should I consider a diffusion lens if I need more flood?

If you think there is something better, here's my criterea:
LED (hybrid ok)
Focusable or two level brightness (prefer flood to tight spot),
Long run time (this one 8 hours),
Cool /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif,
$70 U.S. or less (if it is uber, I can go higher),

...after that all the other characteristics like: can stand on end, good quality switch, water resistant.

Yes I am overspending for my needs. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thank you for your comments.

You can pick one up on Golden Gadgets, ebay store. $39.89 + tax, shipping, handling, insurance. $52.68. The light puts out puke green color. I have not tested to see the run time. I gave the light to my girlfriend.

I got one from ebay, just under $50 shipped. I like it, it does appear to have a bit of green but it's my 1st 3 watter and I'm happy so far. Wish the clickie was not a reverse and the tint was better but those are minor.

Which one did you keep? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Also, how wide can you make the beam?

I just bought one Nitestar 3 watt. That's what I gave to my girlfriend. The beam focus does not work too good. As I remember it just seemed to round out the beam a little. The beam did not widen.
