Im looking for a compact spotlight that has a trigger switch that i can run off the cigarette lighter in my car. It needs to be compact and not too heavy so that i can use it left-handed to spot addresses/road signs while in my car. Is there anything like this available?

I've seen cheap 500,000 CP spots at Sears and Walmart that are very compact as they have no battery in them. They run direct from the cigarette lighter. Basically a bulb and reflector on a handle. Around 10 bucks.

Either like Mark Larson said, or if you want a rechargeable find a 1 MCP Dorcy for less than $20.00 "found mine at Sears" I had an aluminum Vector 1MCP and took it back because I like the beam on the Dorcy better for the $$ I was let down after all the good I had read about Vector lights here you just don't hear much about the aluminum models.

I have read your post in the other forums and think the tool for this job is a spot light in the size and weight range of the Dorcy.

I went to Wal-Mart and they had a brinkmann max 3 million [note 3 million!] spotlight that was corded. It cost $27.
