conditioning new HiMH

I just picked up a 8 pack of energizer 2300 MiHM's (17something at Wally World), charging them up on a ray-o-vac PS4 (if it trashes, I'm not out anything, and ray-o-vac said it would handle the 2300's just fine)

I have read that you have to run HiMH's through a charg/discharge cycle 4 or 5 times to bring them up to spec. I found that is is a good way to burn out maglite bulbs (2 so far in the past 24 hours).

any recomendations for a better way to discharge?

There is no fast way unless....

Do you have a digital camera that takes AA batteries? -How about a Casio pocket color tv?

best aa drainer ever is a panasonic pv-dc1580.
you can hear it sucking them down when you have it running with the lcd on.
