Converting Itunes to mp3 question

Guys, as you know Itunes will only play on Ipods. I know you can burn Itune songs to a cd and then convert back to mp3 but seems like a pain in the butt. Any good one step converter programs that will do this, preferably free and preferably able to work in batch mode?

In Itunes, right-click on the song and select the option to convert to mp3. You can select a whole bunch of songs at the same time.
