I have a Convoy C8+ and would like to change the group mode. The instuctions I found don't work.

1 - Turn on light
2 - Half click 10+ times until the light goes out.
3 - The flashlight will blink once then rapidly flash. half press now.
4 - It will then blink the number of time for each group mode (cycles thru the modes) - half click when it is on the group you want.

My problem is on step 3. The light goes out, in a couple second it blinks twice, a couple second later it blicks twice again, then it just turns on. If I half click or full click anytime during this step the light just turns on.

Anyone have any other instructions?

No offense, I'm feeling happy I got mine with the simplified 4-mode U.I.

While it's doing that kind of buzz after the flash is when you need to half press the button. It does work. Just gotta get the timing right
It does not do the buzz. It only blinks twice, waits 2 second, blinks twice, waits 2 second then the light turn on. If I half press anytime during this the light just turn on.

I am guessing it has a older software version. I purchased this light a few years ago.

Oh. No idea then. I would ask Simon

BTW, hope and pray nothing goes wrong with your AliExpress order.
When a different Convoy light I ordered got lost in the mail, both the site and Simon were absolutely zero help. I was just told very politely to wait basically forever until it magically arrives.

I'm done ordering $#&% from AliExpress, and done ordering Simon's Convoy lights. Great bargain, very polite but useless owner. Terrible customer service.

I bought 2 T4s a while ago, tried to set up UI. Same instruction as in op, with exception that my manual said 10 times, I could not do it, it would not get into setting mode, turns out 10 clicks was not enough, i had to do between 15 and 20 for settings to open up. It took me a while to find a video that showed the whole process, and the person actually said it would take more than 10 times.
Another light that I had somewhat of the same issue is emisar quad 21700. i could not set up dual channels, i did everything manual said but it just would not work, I even asked the anduril designer at BLF, was told the same thing manual said, but then i accidentally found out a little secret. the battery has to be fully charged to set up dual channels, it does not really make sense, it should not matter, but it does, even the girl who wrote anduril UI. can not explain it. After it was set up, then battery level did not matter, but for setting it, it did. I had 2 lights from Hank that did that, so it was not just a glitch in one light.
