So where is a good place to purchase primary CR2 cells? Just purchased a Coleman Max that takes 'em. Went to a local camera store and they wanted $9.85 for ONE:mecry:

Sorry, I should have clarified... more specifically in a local store, as in I can leave the house and go pick some up without paying a boatload... or is that not possible...

CR2 batteries have a 10 year shelf life and you can get em for $2.00 a piece at Batterystation.
If you must use a local store, I think I'd let my fingers do the walking, but expect to pay much more. Lowest I've seen is $14.00 for a pack of two at Walgreens.

If you insist on local purchase, my local wally world has 'em 2 for $9.98, you could try there, but I really don't see why you would want to spend that much...

If you must buy some right now at a B&M store, head to your local Target. Was there last night and found the Duracells on sale, 2pk of CR123 or CR2 for $7.49. Not exactly cheap but much cheaper than most B&M stores. They had some single packs of CR2's on the clearance peg for $1.26 ea but they only had 2 left :mecry:. Date code were 3/2017.

If you have Best Buy stores in your area, check them for Duracells. They were on sale earlier this year along with CR123A batteries. I picked some up for $2.99 for a 2 pack.

Have hit a lot of the Best Buy stores in my area and some in the areas I travel to. Haven't seen any Duracell CR2's, they now carry Energizer CR2's at $13.99/pk IIRC.

Also tried Circuit City and they had Duracell CR2's on clearance for $13.99/2pk .
