Creating fonts

Are there any shareware/freeware applications that will convert DWG/DXF data into TrueType fonts? I don't want to pay cash for something I'm likely to use just once or twice - after I've done all the hard work (actually creating the characters) in AutoCAD.

I could probably make an AutoDesk SHX font. Anything to convert from SHX to TTF? I really just need to format the vector data so it can be converted into TTF...
