I'm finishing up the design on my CNC bike light, but i need one piece of information so i can set up tolerances accordingly. so, does anyone know the thickness of the MCPCB star the cree XR-E's are mounted on? specifically the ones that cutter sells, if that makes a difference. i just need thickness and tolerance if you have it.
also, i remember seeing something about the stars having poor heat transferring ability. has this problem been resolved? will i be fine using stars at 1A, or should i just mount the emitter straight onto the housing.
