hi guys
we are planing to drive cree XLamp CXA305 to the maximum from the 12 V source
anybody has idea which driver to use to get 2.5 A at minimum 37 V

You mean DIY like build your own driver? I can help you with that, but it's not for the weak of heart!
HBflex might still work. I would recommend contacting Taskled to make sure it's a good fit for this application. The data on the website is a bit thin.
 
6 A max input curent was the info directly from taskled so max what I could get is 72W on input side minus some 10 %
output would have some 65 W +/- ....this cal ulation would give some 6000-7000 lm from this LED
 

Up to 100W at 24V input. But running on 12V, you have to derate it to 60%, aka 60W. And apparently that's 60W input. Looking at the manual, it says max input current is 5A, and max power output at 12V input is 50W. On the plus side, it does claim better efficiency. Cost is less too. For some applications, it could be a good choice. But for this application, it's less suited than the Hyperboost.

By the way, I don't completely believe the claim that efficiency will be no less than 93% in 12V systems. 60W input and 50W output is 83%, not 93%. I think there's either a mistake or a bit of fudging of the numbers going on.

leo lusic: I didn't see a 6A limit in the docs for HBflex. In fact, I didn't see any limits at all, which is why I suggested contacting Taskled. It's probably 6A just like hyperboost, but it can't hurt to ask.
 
6A input limint on b3flex doesn't make sense since it is 3A buck driver and input voltage is always higher than output voltage, so in direct drive, when driver is not regulating the output current max input current would be 3A in theory.

Well than maybe he should be looking for that type of driver I suggested but 200W.

I was talking about HBflex, not b3flex.
