Agreed, it is a brightness bin to sell the lesser output at lower prices, though I often wonder if they deliberately try to produce some warmer than others per manufacturer request and this also results in lower bins among those, I doubt they'd be producing many *as dim* as a P4 today if that weren't the case, or are they entirely beyond producing P4 today and it's just old stock in the channels?

I'm sure they try to make the best bins possible and then sort accordingly.
The P4s come in warmer tints due to different phosphors.
