I currently have a 1D mag put together with a 3A driver and a old T6 XML way back when they first come out. I now have some copper PCBs for XML and XPG My question is what do yall think I should do, put and XPG2 in there and run it at 3A or try and push a new XML2 at 4.5-5A?
The light has a rebel reflector in it and I want it to be a thrower so I'm thinking XPG. The heat sink is custom made with a copper core about half inch and then aluminum with a very nice tight fit. The core is pressed in the aluminum the sink is very substantial.
Being that the core is copper where the PCB mounts does anyone think it could be possible to solder the PCB to the heat sink?
