I think I have the answer to this, but I'd like to ask just in case.

I'm thinking of buying a couple of cheaper 2xAA lights to supplement my Fenix in a bike riding setup. Bike will be ridden on pavement, so no huge bumps.

I will have at least one minimag since I find the blinking mode useful, but I'm pondering what will suit it well, and one of my candidates is an RC-N3 Q5 from ShiningBeam.

Don't ask me why, but I'm sort of obsessed with getting a dual light set up of some sort (two identical beams, a la car headlights), so if anyone has a suggestion of what I can get for a pretty low price, please go right ahead as well!

the rc-n3 has been one of my EDCs, for a while, its a great flashlight.

I think your choice is fine.. what are you using to mount the lights?

Hoseclamps, might get some lockblocks if I stick one on my helmet, depends on how my helmet fits.

Thought of getting a Fenix clamp thing, but $15.00 is expensive, and I don't feel like waiting a month to get one from DX. Might go check out street markets if I go to Hong Kong this summer.

As your application is specific to cycling, I'm moving this to the bicycle section.

TBH, number 2, but not quite so grand

Wanted to get two (identical) for near flood, and one for a farther throw, and one for blinking when I'm on roads

Wasn't too concerned about headlight, but looked to stick one in the helmet if I had a spare, if not, just get an energizer so I can see when I turn my head.

I don't ride seriously enough to have all this stuff. Mostly I ride between school and home. Right now just have a cheap mountain bike and a bell since my old light broke.
