Hey guy, been lurking on here for a while reading everything I can about small LED lights and big spotlights!

I got my first spotlight years and years ago and have been fascinated ever since but haven't ever thought much about modifying them. I got a Cyclops Thor X Scout 6.5 million CP (CYC-S6x) light about 6 years ago and it has worked very well. However, it has been sitting for the last 2 or 3 years (college, just graduated, woop!) and after sitting on the charger for the last 2 weeks the batteries are showing no signs of coming back to life. I opened it up and it has two 6v 4.2A "Johnlite" batteries in there, one is reading 5v and one is reading only 2v so I suppose they're toast🙁

The bulb, reflector, lens, switch, and casing are all like new so I'm wanting to at least replace the batteries but I figure I could replace the light for the cost of replacing the batteries most likely so I'm thinking about upgrading it somehow? I love HID's and have 4300k from XenonDepot on my 2006 4Runner and would love to go that route but I'm wondering if there's something I can do to bring this light back to life short of going up to HID because I'm not looking to sink too much money into it right now.

Do you guys have any suggestions?
