Dang it!! PT Surge won\'t work---

Got a PT Surge from TTS yesterday and it won't light up. I re-installed the batteries about six times - nothing. I don't have a spare bulb to try - Any ideas before I send it to Princeton Tec? Or should I send it to TTS? Thanks for any help.

The switch mechanism is located only on one side of the battery/bulb assembly. Make sure it's facing in the same direction as the toggle switch on the outside of the flashlight as it can be put in backwards.

In addition, even when reinstalling battery pack correctly you must make sure switch engages properly. Experiment with different switch positions be fore reinstalling pack.

One of my Surges bit the dust. The internal switch mechanism on the battery pack ceased functioning. This happened on the original bulb for the light.

I received my Surge from Brightguy about 6 months ago; it was DOA, the switch didn't work. BG informed me that this light was a "new" one after PT had"fixed" a switch anomoly. I promptly received a replacement from BG, good service.

The light should work OUTSIDE the tube. Just depress the little "button" on the top side of the battery assembly.

Of course, you may have a bum bulb.

It should also work with only four batteries loaded on one side.
Do what JohnK said above. If it lights, then do what d'mo and brightnorm said.

Check the bulb with an ohmmeter or close visual inspection, if you can.

LIKE I ALWAYS SAY "KEEP THE RECEIPT".

the surge is the least reliable light you can buy imo.

I just received 2 surges last week and both work fine. Hope you get yours working.

Now thats what I call great service. I just received 2 from TTS just last week and a E2e-HA about 2 months ago. Nothing but great service.
