Not sure if any people are going to the Dayton Hamvention. I was last there in 2006. We had a nice meeting of several CPFers. It was great to meet folks. I'll be driving out there from Cape Cod on Thursday.

I'll be there this year as well, what do you guys consider the main food area? The hallway of tables would be my first bet but I figured I'd ask anyway.

I'm packing light as well, it will just me me and my Ra.

The best way I can describe the main food area is to go in at the east hall (closest entrance to the street) and walk all the way towards the far end of the hall. You'll see a food area in the hallway just past the east hall. Walk past the food vendor's counter towards the cafeteria seating behind it and you're there.

I'll bring a red flashing strobe thingy and hang it on the wall around noon on Saturday.

Yep, I know the area. That's not where I was thinking but I know where it is. Good job I made sure.

I'll see you there!

Photon, I think that's the same spot we met at in 2006, right?

I'll be packing light too. MRV SK, DBS, and A10. Look forward to seeing everyone!

Yes, exactly the same spot. I might bring my Stanley HID from WallyWorld. I'll also be wearing a green LED scrolling badge
displaying my callsign and my CPF handle.

**EDIT** Found the map. Look for the "Food Concession Area" that's roughly equidistant between the east hall entrance (closest to the street)
and the north hall entrance.

See y'all there!

Well I just got back from Hamvention and we had a small but august group. Thanks to Jerry D, Frank (FieldOps), and Mike mwaldron) for stopping by!

After sharing some stories and passing around our lights, we had a brief impromptu beamshot comparison on the lunchroom wall.

While I brought my Stanley HID and FieldOps and the others brought some nice LED flashlights, Mike made the keen observation that one of Frank's lights was probably the winner in terms of "lumens per pound."
:D
