Darn. I had to think about your problem for a while before posting, and you've deleted the thread!
What I was going to suggest is that you put a ***DELETED*** in the chuck of your ***DELETED*** abd set it for .033 inch deep. Then when you ***DELETED*** you adjust it so the tool just barely touches.
The end result will be ***DELETED*** just like you wanted.

Well, it is this way... I wanted to make an alignment and turning jig for a specific diameter of rod to mount on the tailstock, and was going to make it out of an aluminum round disk and some bearings mounted on an 2MT shaft.
Was begging for someone to send me a piece of aluminum the right size so I don't have to order one of wait for a week for an eBay auction to finish. Decided it would be just as easy to make an adapter for my face plate and use that.
