Hi all,
I'm after some clarification please.
Im looking at one of the 2 mentioned lights to use in place of a cheap handheld spotlight, I need 200 meters throw with a useful spot (say 2 or more meters) from 50 meters and up.
I have read that the DBS Aspheric will give maximum throw but limited spot (square?)
The Tiablo A10-G will still give excellent throw but with a more usefull spot and the build quality of the Tiablo is said to be superior to the Dereelight, however the Dereelight is upgradeable in the future.
Does that about sum it up? Is there any other Flashlight i should be looking at in the same price range? ($100 - $150)
I dont require any spill and i would like to use 2 x 18650's to give me a decent amount of time between changing batteries. (I understand extension tubes are availible for both lights).
Your help would really be appreciated, im new to flashlights but ive spent hours reading to narrow it down the 2 lights mentioned.

:welcome:

I don't have the DBS w/aspheric lens but I have the A9 w/aspheric and I've never measure the square spot at 50 meters but to my eyes it's not even close to 2m hot spot.

I don't have A10-G either but I have A10 and you can have almost 2m hot spot at 50m.

All is just my guess by my own eyes.

At 200m the square is large enough to shine the whole minivan. The A10 doesn't have much problem at that distance but the hot spot covers the whole house. Get the DBS w/aspheric if you want throw, at 200m it's much brighter than the A10.

I'd love to go with the Tiablo but the only thing really putting me off is if i get it and the throw isnt enough, there is no Aspheric option, where as the Dereelight gives me the option of using the smooth reflector or Asperic and its not much more $$$.
Any more thought's anyone?
I have just found the Catapult V2, how does this compare to the other 2?
Thanks
