dialight l2 optics

I guess my main question is if they are designed to work well with the xr-e. Detail sheets on the maker's site label it for the xp series. I like their modular setup but didn't want to sacrifice output quality for it.

Edit: This is why I shouldn't post when on cold pills.

I wondered why the darn things don't fit my XR stars quite right. I mean, they fit, but it's not quite snug.

So, they are designed for XPs? Explains a lot.

BestHong has some new acrylic optics for the XR, but they aren't modular.

Looks like there are XR-E(OPTX) and XP-E(OPXP) models.

I've used OPTX with XR-E, work really nicely.
Only issue... the bases are wide and can obscure pads on the stars.

Thanks

I went ahead and ordered some along with different attachments. I also went ahead and ordered some of the Ledil lC1 and Ledil CRS optics as well to see how they compare. Figured I may as well play around since it's basically winter. =]

For getting snug fits over star pads I've often resorted to melting or filing the plastic base just a bit to get a snug fit.

Let us know your results. I might order the 30mm ones from BestHongKong just out of curiousity.

I had some 6 pad stars which were ok but when I finally got around to the build I ordered Q5s which were 4 pad and some hacking was needed.
