Diamond Luxeon

Is a Diamond Luxeon 3watt the same as a Luxeon star? Is Diamond a brand name, if so how come I dont see reviews on them?

Craig at the LED museum has a review of the Diamond Luxeon 3. Yes, it is a Luxeon on a drop-in module intended for Maglites.

My take on the Diamond Luxeon 3 - avoid it like the plague. The thermal management in that drop is module is pretty much non-existant. The module drives the luxeon very hard and allows the temperature to far exceed the maximum thermal specifications. The luxeon will be very short lived as a result.
