You're in Florida -- so you're on limestone that is full of water-filled caves and sinkholes, right? I know they do collapse, both cases of the surface falling in (which gets noticed) and of rock falling within the cave system, which might explain what happened.

The seismometers around the world ought to show the event and allow precise location both by latitude-longitude and by depth, if ground shaking was happening.

I don't know what kind of event recorder would have such an event if it were carried only through the air.

Please do post more about this. Even a complete lack of public reports or discussion would be interesting!

maybe its an emergency alert for all worldwide strategic US nuclear subs? these subs stay submerged for months, only an ELF signal can get to them unless they have surface/subsurface repeaters or bouys in use. would only be say a three letter code that travels through the earths crust and is very slow, measured in cycles.like a huge global subwoofer spitting out morse code basically.
