Difference between Luxeon Star 1W and EverLed?

I'm intending to order Everled for my MAG 2D, but I want to know what is the difference between regular LS and Everled.

Well the EverLED is a LS (side emitter) with built in regulation. It can run on many battery configurations from 2 to 6 cells.

(it can actually run on just 1 battery but with reduced brightness)

Well, does it mean that it is brighter with 3 cells than with 2? And if so - is it brightest with 6?

It reaches optimum brightness with 3 cells, any more will not effect brightness but will extend runtime.
