browsing oveready I wondered, that the Z2 models seem to be in "higher respect" (?) than the C2. (?)
The Zs are sold out immediately, the Ps last longer and noone seems to take the Cs ...
The shape Z/C is slightly different, but both "just" seem to be models to be used with some kind of "pistol grip" (?).

Not being too much into that matter, could someone pls tell, what the difference is between the 2?

To the physical differences, its best to start with SF finishes as a guide. Police got shiny black, 6P, C2, and Z2. Military got natural/OD C2 and M2. The C2/M2 are more multipurpose, no holster, multi grip. The Z2/6P are more single grip, single purpose, holster ready. The C2 can do a cigar grip, but only from one or two directions. The Z2 is a cigar grip specialist - pull from your belt, hold it from any direction, and go.

To the demand difference, its supply and demand. When SF cut off supplies, C2 remained available for some time. Z2 supply fell off the face of the earth, never to be seen again. Today, there are fewer Z2s for each person wanting one than there are C2's. And even C2s are getting quite rare. The interesting bit is that there are now Z2X's and not C2X's. Apparently, the military market has changed and the LEO market has not.

I would expect that the military market would be winding down now that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are winding down. As for the difference between Z2 and C2, the Z2 is nicer to hold in my opinion. The clip on the C2 is nice to have and all, but something tells me it would snap off if I were to clip it to my belt. The HA finish was one big advantage for the C2 when you look at the stock models, but Oveready's custom HA Z2's pretty much give you the best of both worlds - ergonomic grip and HA finish. C2's do look cool though.
