digital IC circuitry

Hello,

I am currently working on an application involving LED lighting. I found some reference to "IC" circuitry. Can anyone tell me what IC stands for and explain what this circuitry does? I assume it is more than just a current dropper.

IC stands for Integrated Circut, or in other words a "chip", they can do just about anything electrically, they can perfom Direct Current step up, used often in one battery LED lights.

They can also control LED arrays to do different modes of blinking and flashing like the Eternalight, and can control how the LED's are driven using Pulse Width Modulation.
