So I have some 7 and a half watt reverse lights. I dont have any figures besides there are 15 half watt leds. I have hooked it up to a switchover relay and along the NC circuit, I wanted the reverse lights to be dimmed. I understand that led set ups can be quite sensitive to voltage change, though I thought I might get away with it. So I tried connecting up a potentiometer to see what size resistor Id have to buy, though I took it all the way down to 0ohms and the most I got out of the light was a flicker. Does this mean I need a PWM? I have a PWM, though of course I tapped into the reverse + at the front of the car and the negative is at the rear of the vehicle next to the light. The PWM I have has a +,- in and a +,- out. This means I really need to connect it at the rear, yes? And this would be the same with a buck driver?
