look all the way at the bottom for info on driving the d2s and such.i can probably find diodes and caps for the multiplier at a local surplus store cheap if anyone needs them.

This is the lift of the day I think, with a thread older than 4 years, but I wonder if anyone has tried to build this and use it with 35W car HID bulbs?

yes it works fine.
and amazingly the link is still good!
i built several like it with my own tweaks for a solar powered home.
a d2s does a good job lighting a polebarn and will start at -20f

Sounds nice, the price for building it can't be very high. :) What kind of tweaks have you done?
