They should come with some charge, but you should check them upon arrival.
All empty cells might be damaged, and if left for some time unused, and with no or very low charge in them, can be ruined.
Check them, give them a full charge, and do a cycle with them when you get them.
I got AW's protected 18650 from Lighthound. I stuck it on the DSD, and it took about 3 hours to get a green LED. So, mine was like 75% charged. You should definitely stick in a charger before using.
Ok, I have both sets fully charged. Now, using them in my sure fire G-3 with the Bug out gear Cree Q-5 drop in for say 15 minutes daily, how often should i switch them out? Also I thought I read somewhere how some people will leave a light on, on purpose to lower the charge to a certain level before recharging. I might damage the drop in if I do this in a plastic bodied housing, do to insuficient heat transfer do you think? Is there a thread somewhere that's titled "How to get the most and best life out of your rechargeables"???
