Do I need a threaded jam nut when using a McE2S DIY assembly with an Aleph tailcap?

I just received my order for a DIY assembly and there was no threaded jam nut - any chance this was a shipping/packaging mistake?

The jamnut should be included with the Mc2ES kit. You need it because that's what holds the Mc2ES in the tailcap and locates its position.

If you ordered a DIY assembly, it does not come with a jam nut. From what I understand the DIY assembly is meant to be used to convert a Z52. When doing that, you need to drill out the hole in the Z52 jam nut.

Nope, the DIY kit does come with the jamnut! Look here: DIY Kit

EDIT: It even states that you don't have to order one but the jamnut isn't listed as a seperate item though! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif My last three DIY Kits came with the newer black formed ones! No more deburring, chamfering, etc. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif I like them. I like to buy a few of them if they were listed as a seperate item.

I wonder if that was recently changed. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif I'm sorry, I had always assumed that they didn't come with a jam nut.

I've already taken care of it w/ the Shoppe. Based on both the website and the response I got in email, it is definitely supposed to come with a jam nut.

The problem here is that I ordered the DIY assembly with the intent to retrofit a Z52. I then changed my mind and ordered the tailcap (forgetting the boot!). I should have just ordered the complete assembled McE2S Tailcap. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Does the Shoppe sell assembled tailcaps now? I didn't see that. They're selling a whole assembled Aleph lights now!
