With all the flashaholic talent in this community does it make sense for someone of much higher talent than I to make a universal sticky on flashlight model recommendations? I see so many posts where someone is looking for the best light under/around X dollars.
I realize the best for the price could be debated forever but I believe after reading this board alot in a short time there are some choices that get recommended over nd over again.
I have seen the new light purchase checklist and few nice write ups about shopping for and the explanations of what make up a quality flashlight. I learn so much from them and I'm grateful to the writers.
I wonder though if adding say a price range to each of the below and a quick one line descriptor. ie...good throw, AA batteries, plastic body
Certainly not the definitive list but a example:
Deal Extreme Rominson(sp?)
The River Rock
The EX10
Husky 2D
Taskforce 2C
Surefire G2
Novatac 120 series
Don't get me wrong I'm a newb myself and welcome new blood to the community but maybe suggestions of specific models would give them a chance to jumpstart their research.
Or maybe I just like the research part too much and others just want the perfect buy.
Done rambling...Just a thought.
