Hi *,

does the ARC 4 electronics harm rf devices, like
rf transceivers from police, fire fighters etc.?
I mean not harming the devices itself, but the communcations.... :-)

(Sorry if this has coverd before, but the search
from does not work with my old Linux/Mozilla setup :-( )

Cheers
Ralf

if i recall correctly it does cause a bit of interference, albeit very minimal /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Our tests have shown that is does produce a small amount of RF (comprable to the amount produced by a digital camera, etc). However, it does not produce enough to noticably interfere with the normal operation of any radio.

Oh sure, now you tell me. I'm glad my Arc4+ didn't trigger anything unusual with my pacemaker.

........ just kidding.

Ray, the greatest threat the Arc4 presents to your pacemaker is when you look at the price. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Surviving that, everything else is cake.

Hey... I use mine to change channels on the TV. Even works through walls. The garage door opener interface is still in development.

Thanks for the answers.

Though I can buy one and use it at while doing
fire fighting :-)
