Does the IC used in the downboy have a shutdown or enable pin? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
If so, is it a true shutdown, where the output is truly off?
Any idea what the quiescent current is in shutdown, say from a six volt source?
I'm thinking of a mod that would have a low current switch turn the beam on and off, with off state current draw much less than a milliamp.

Thanks in advance, Crux

The Shutdown pin is pin 9. It's wired to Vin, but, if it is tied to GND will shutdown the Downboy.

Standby current is max 1uA with typical being 0.1uA.

Thanks!

I hope you get some LIII's in soon, I'm getting an order together that needs some.
