Does this light exist?

I recently purchased a Neutral Quark X, thinking it was the exact light I have been hoping for... however, the tint was way too cool. so now I am wondering if there is an alternative.

Criteria:

1) Must be neutral/warm tint!

2) Must be able to swith directly back and forth between two brightness levels (programmable preferred, but must at least remember the last level)

3) Must have a "floody" emiiter, XM-L preferred for beam pattern and brightness.

4) Must run on 1-2 x 18650 (prefferred) or 1-2 x 17670.

5) Prefer brightness over runtime, this will be for the backyard and I can easily swap batteries.


For the record, I own an older Neutral Quark AA^2 and it is close to what I want, except I want brighter and li-ion battery use. I also have a Neutral/warm Neutron 1A that I use with a 14500 and I like it a lot, but want a bit better build quality and larger li-ion battery. As stated above, I thought a Neutral Quark X 123^2 would fit the bill perfectly (with a 17670), but the tint is not neutral/warm enough.

My first thought was to find a Neutral Neutron 2C, but I have read that it is not compatible with 17670?

I also plan to purchase a Zebra SC600w as soon as they exist, but it still won't technically meet my demnd of "switch directly back and forth between two levels".

U could get a warm XML drop-in from Nailbender in 2mode.
Buy a cheap L2P host and yer set.
Under 100$ for everything.

He has tons of tints and emitter choices.

Edit- oh yeah the ano on the latest L2P is really nice.

It is not difficult to switch between levels on a Zebralight. From off, do a double click and you end up in medium. On medium, click once to off and click once again to get to high. Simple. I have no problems mastering the UI in a day.

It is not difficult to switch between levels on a Zebralight. From off, do a double click and you end up in medium. On medium, click once to off and click once again to get to high. Simple. I have no problems mastering the UI in a day.

I have several Zebralights and very familiar with the interface... But when I'm with my dog at night I constantly switch between high/medium because I don't like shining a super bright light on him and it's preferable to just twist a bezel back and forth.

I noticed you mentioned possibly 2 18650's- what are your length & diameter limits, & how low does the low have to be?

pjandyho's explanation for getting from medium to high involves clicking the light "off" then back "on". I clearly stated that I want to be able to switch back and forth between high and medium.

No real limitations on size... this will sit on a table in the house and be used in the yard when keeping an eye on the dog at night.

Thanks for the reply... I will take a look at the dereelight. Neutral/warm is a must, and the SC600w will likely be my next purchase when it is available. If the tn12 becomes available in neutral, I will consider that as well.
