Don't you just hate it when you've misplaced a flashlight and can't find it anymore?

I recently moved some stuff around my room and within 15 minutes of remembering using it, my Quark 123 is gone. No idea where it is now.

Today, I lost my Maratac AAA.

Ouch. :(

At least you know your Quark 123 is in your room somewhere.

I used to misplace lights like that, too. Then I made it a habit to either always store the light back in my pocket once I am done using it or in a specific location (e.g. table beside my bed) and the number of times I have misplaced a light has gone down tremendously.

I am sure your Quark 123 will turn up again. If you misplaced your Maratac AAA at home then I am sure it will turn up again. :)

My G3L dissappeared for a few months...I chalked it up a loss...then, it shows up under my daughters bed one night when they were cleaning...go fig...

My old Jil 1.3 Up got knocked off a shelf during an earthquake. I tore that corner of the room apart, but couldn't find it. I finally found it about six weeks later wedged in a corner of my desk chair.

Ever since I started edcing a McGizmo, my father likes to hide them around the house when I'm not looking. The first time I was scared sh**less! (Naturally he was laughing butt off) Now its more of a game to find them before I leave the house.

:)On the flip side, I hear that he has bought some Costco torches, and used them heavily this past Halloween for monster strobe duty...

I have a pelican M6 which was my first bright flashlight. I have had it for years ever since they very first came out. I have lost it more than I have had it. :(

Somewhere around my house is an L1T-V2. Lent it to my daughter and I never saw it again. Fortunately it had a NiMH in it, so at least I dont have to worry about alkaline leaks. OT: IMHO some of the most interesting threads are stories and pictures of CPF'ers finding their lost lights. There was a thread a year ago about a guy who lost his 6P, and found it ~10 years later under the basement water heater.... and its till worked!

The frustrating thing is that I had it like 10 minutes ago in my hands. And I put it somewhere......it's not like someone took it or I dropped it or I forgot and left it at work.

Pernaps flashlights should be fitted with an RFID tag, a transponder, or a locator beacon so they can be found when lost.

Yes, I share the same sentiment and its particularly scary when its a custom build or one of a kind. I have a couple of McLux lights in various bags that I use, but before going out, I always try to check for it.
I have the Ti lights on me all the time, but other Al lights are all over the place. Plus when I lend a light out to the fiancee, I might not see it for a few days.

I lost my Ti Quark last night... only to realise after 15 minutes of searching, that I was initially sitting on it...

I cant find my Fenix P2D and P3D.

Not too fussed though, they are about 3 or 4 years old and I used losing them as an excuse to buy more flashlights

What's even more frustrating is when you buy a light to replace the one you lost and then find the light you lost right after receiving the new light.

If you think that's bad:
The other night I was out walking somewhere (although there were enough street lights that I didnt need a flashlight on). I keep my Quark Ti in my pocket and tend to periodically pat my pocket to see if it's still there.

So I was walking and went to feel for my Quark Ti, and realized it wasn't there. I had a moment of extreme panic, thinking I had dropped it. Then I realized that no, I hadn't dropped it. I was holding it in my other hand!

The one I've missed most was my Inova X1 first generation light with the tiros optics, can't buy those anymore :(

I replaced the L0D CE on my keychain with a Millermods 2 stage Arc AAA.
Now I can not find the L0D CE or the L0P SE I used before.
Not critical but still most annoying.
