Dorcy 4 AAA led

I found this at GiJoes for $10.00. It has 1 led and claims a 600 hour run time. The reflector seems to have a "krylon sputter",
It has a button switch on the end without momentary on. I tested it against my Dorcy AAA & Arc. This light is only slighty brighter, with a very little extra throw. There is a light halo at the very edge which is almost unnoticeable. It has no other rings or artifacts and measures 5" long.

Looks like a good candidate for an *incandescent* mod with the krylon sputter. A 3.6V Xenon from Ratshack should make for a bright light with a decent beam. Their "patented LED bulb" is strange though. Didn't know that LED "bulbs" were patented /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif For $10, it's a good gamble. Wish they had them at wally world.

That 600 hour runtime must be way off. Unless they count the runtime until they can't see any glow at all.
