after reading this thread I thought "mmm, the dorcy's a pretty good mod host,...and if I screw it up, its only $20"

I dont have a multimeter so I dont know what the regulator unit is outputing in terms of voltage and current. but I'm pretty sure its around the specs for the luxeon it came in with, RX1H [H, 3.03V - 3.27V]...

Does anyone have the measurements?
just wondering

If I'm thinking of the same super 1 watt that you are... there's no regulator--it's direct drive.

from its design...I dont think theres a way to measure current and or voltage output unless in open circuit...even with that in mind my cheap MM doesnt tell me much:ohgeez:

I measured 5.5v across the leads without a load on it. I swapped out a Lux III that came out of an older MXDL light. Boost circuit for sure. Regulator  I'll try to grab mine out of the car and take a reading tonight.
