I really liked my Dosun R6. The only flaw it had was it's brightness (well the lack of brightness :grin2: ).
Since it originally had an SCC P4 led the new XP-G R5 I got from down under would be a good replacement .
It was almost an easy swap between those two, the only thing I had to do was to make the footprint of the XP-G on 10mm board the same as the P4's.
I'm really pleased with the result, the Dosun R6 gained (at least) twice the brightness it had. The beam remained the same only the spot is a bit bigger now.
I made some wall beamshot together with some other lights, see for your self.
Dosun R6 XP-G R5 (left) gainst a 10W HID light (1 meter to the wall)
Dosun R6 XP-G R5 (again left) against a Lego SF KL3 with P7 LED run at 1.5 Amp.
