Double Barrell 6 AA tail cap

One of my locak K-Marts closed and I got three 6 cell Double Barrells. I didn't look and someone cut one package and took a tailcap /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif. Looks like maybe 18 threads per inch and smaller than 3/4 so is it 5/8 or 11/16 or some other size. Any one know?

Bunny.com /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif doesn't have any but they are sending me some vouchers to buy new products at a discount. Not bad for a problem with a discontinued product.

The plastic tailcaps on the DB6AA's and DB7AA's (edit -- thanks, Klaus-- DB8AA) are a PITA to screw in. I imagine someone may have cross threaded theirs so badly that it couldn't be used any more.

You know I've driven a P91 in a serial modded DB8AA with 3@ 4/3 A NiMH cells in one barrel and 4 @ A NiMH cells in the other barrel. The 7th cell was to compensate for the voltage drop in the system. I've also used 7 AA cells and one of the dummies your made and quietly market throughout the flashaholic world.

Nonetheless I will admit both that you caught one of my frequent typos and that the 7AA version is not commercially available.

Silviron does/did sell a stretch DB6AA Luxeon mod that is a DB8AA with 6 4/3 A cells.
