Often after work I exercise or play golf (Daylight Saving in Indiana is good :))

Last Tuesday, after practicing at the golf course, was in the locker room, ready to take a shower. Lightning, thunder, wind and rain had started to move through the area. Several thunder cracks and loud rain were heard in the locker room with no windows..................the lights went out and didn't come back!

Several other golfers used their cellphone for illumination and hurriedly, left as it was pitch dark.

Normally, I carry a light in my pocket along with Draco on my key chain. Due to having to rush to an early appointment, had neglected to pocket one of my edc's.:mecry:

Contemplating my options, decided that I could use the "Draco" for illumination and proceeded to shower (set the little flashlight on the floor at an angle) and then finished and left as normal (15-20 min process).

Draco performed like the champ that it is (transformer had been hit by lightning and no power for several hours). I then made my way to the Pro Shop and dazzled all present with an amazing amount of light for just a key chain flashlight.

nice story :)

there was a big storm in ny yesterday. lots of rain, hail, lightning and high winds. i saw alot of down trees, some on cars, knocked over fences and some malfunctioning traffic lights.
but no power outage!

Great story, and you got to finish your shower.. ')

I wear my Draco on a necklace and it get a shower once our twice a day. My friends know this and occasionally turn the bathroom light off, so I just give it a twist and fini my shower. lol

I was gonna do a post to see how many EDW's there were among us. I find it so handy because it seems I'm usually bent over looking under something when I need it and there it hangs @ the ready.

Thanks for sharing.. :grin2:
X..

EDW'er here too. The Draco is always on the neck chain. I tend to have several other lights on me most times. But when all else fails, the Draco is always there to save the day.
