I have a couple Surefire 6p host sitting around. I would like to know, if possible, any information on building a xr-e drop-in to run off 2AA or 3AAA. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appriecated.

How do you plan to fit 2AA or 3AAA in a 6P?

Get a A19 extender & it should fit 2 x AA length wise.
Get the spacer from OverReady or create something on your own to prevent rattling.

If you have tools to do basic soldering, you can buy parts off the Internet & assemble them yourself. Pill/reflector/driver/emitter/wires..

Alternatively, buy the dropin as a whole from the Internet or get from ppl like Vinh or Nailbender in CPF.
