So, good (but odd) news when troubleshooting my Dereelight CL1H. I dropped it from waist high onto cement, and it stopped outputting any light. I am using an AW18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery, and apparently it somehow stopped working properly due to the impact. It meters silghtly less than 2volts, even though I've put it back in the charger. Int he flashlight I get nothign with it.
I just went and bought two cr123 batteries at the drugstore, and popped those in and the light still works great. So good to know the light itself isn't broken, but has anyone heard of a li-ion battery breaking like this with a fairly minor jolt? I don't want to just go buy another AW battery if it's a problem I'm going to run into again. Or if it's true of li-ion in general, that'd also be good to know, I'll be gentler with my flashlight in the future.
Any thoughts?
