Ok so here comes the stupid question /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif (don't laugh!):

How come you can twist to turn on and off a sandwich equipped 2AA Mag? I was playing around with one (a BB750 LuxIII T) for quite some time and I just can't figure it out /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif. I mean the sandwich itself is just one solid piece of a thing, nor does it turn or anything. So how come when you screw on and off the head it will turn on and off? Someone please enlighten me!

This is gotta be one of the dumber questions....

btw Wayne, great sandwich, just a bit warm after a while /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

lol
nope, not really a dumb one /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

the upper part of the sammich' upper part has a copper coating on top of it. when you twist it on, the copper part touch the lower mag's lips, and so the sammich turned on.
when you twist off, the optic pressed against the black part (hopefully) of the emitter and so the sammich is pressed downward. Because of this, the copper does not touch the MM lips anymore and any contact is thus broken. This makes the sammich turned off.

hope this clears your fog /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Thanks shiftd! That explains everything really!

I've actually took the head off and discovered that I could turn the light off by pressing down on the emitter! It's actually that simple!

Don't I feel like the smartest person around /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon6.gif....

It was a good question, I had to think about it a bit before I bought my first sandwich (still not here yet). I really didnt get it considering that the "do not remove" disc was the original switch. After taking apart (destroying on purpose) a mag solitair, it all became clear. It really is a simple design, taking advantage of the MagAA build.
