E01 in cold weather

Never got a chance to ue my E01 in very very cold however did on one camping trip at -5F with a lithium battery. Worked good.

If only the head is cooled it definately shouldn't happen, contact the dealer you bought from for warrenty service.

I actually think it'll be hard to warranty in this case.
The light functions just fine under normal condition (room temperature.)
Should I say something like... if you stick it into the fridge for 5 minutes, it stops working?

The battery is a duracell. It's also quite fresh since I suspected that it was the battery when it fail to operate, and it was a cold... December... I mean, April night...

Point taken... though it felt pretty cold to me!

Replace it!

Excluding physical limitations of battery chemistry, there simply is no reason why a flashlight shouldn't perform when it's cold. As demonstrated by several posters, this flashlight in particular is known to operate when it's friggin' cold. Your unit appears to be faulty, and should be replaced under warranty.
