I picked up an e1e in black this weekend at a local gun show. The box said ha. Is there anyway to tell if it is ha3or ha2. Not that it matters as I only paid $50.00 for the light + 12 batteries. The guy was not a flashlight dealer, but had a couple of flashlights & a bunch of batterieshe said he had taken in trade. The light was sealed in box, so it was right light in box.

Is it shiny or matte finish? HA II is shiny.

I think it's HAIII, same as the M series lights (but in black) and the SF/Emerson combo C2, which is also black, Tadgear is selling them right now as well.

Excellent - Sounds like HAIII to me! TW has both E1es and E2es in Black on order.

imfrogman,

I don't know exactly when, but I was told it would be soon.

Too bad I just bought a regular E1E--I guess I'll have to buy another now.

imfrogman--does yours have the scalloped bezel? The one on TADGear showed a regular bezel.

I hope they make matching KLs for it (i.e. KL1 and KL4). An L4 in HAIII black would be pretty kickass as well.

The KL1-GM does look very nice, I finally received one, too.

Anyone got a pic of the KL1-GM? I've never seen it--I love the way the gunmetal finish looks (before it gets all beaten up).

As said before it doesn't have the scalloped bezel, other than that it is quite nice.

I cant be sure but believe that the E1e in question is finished in HA11 black and is not in black HA111.

From the appearence it just seems to shiney!

Doug

Well, my picture was a E1-GM with KL1-GM, not the black version of course!
