The E1e (MN01) will throw a beam farther, but it's much more yellower, and its spill is virtually non-existant when you compare it to the ample side-spill of the BB/MM. Aside from being whiter, both BB/MMs will run much longer on 2AAs than the MN01 can on a 123...
Whereas the MN01 is at 15 lumens, I would say the MM+ is at least 25 lumens out the business end, and the BB400Q3 is at least 20 lumens out the end (from eye comparisons)... Either way, the BB/MMs are brighter than the MN01, even if they don't throw a farther beam...
