the F04 diffuser.. when we put it on the bezel is it a tight fit? will it come lose one day if taken and put on the bezel a lot of time?

Yes it's a nice tight fit.
No it will never fall off from over usage,the F04 is made of soft rubber.
Will fit any 1'' bezel. Highly recommend it.

Does the E2D LED have a smooth beam, or does it have a "clover leaf" beam (influenced by the shaped bezel?)

Hello cruisemissile -- My E2DL has a perfectly round beam. And I mean PERFECTLY. :thumbsup: It's the only flashlight I own that exhibits such a geometrically consistent pattern (out of well over a dozen torches).
