Okay, just checked my E2DL and it has the copperish colored interior so I guess it is the older version and probably that's why its a cooler colored LED, I cant wait to get the E2DL that I ordered to see if its the new version and compare color temperatures, any one else been comparing the E1B vs the E2DL color temps?

Oh and yes, the E2DL is brigther and has a better through, It is quite brighter though, it works great outside in open spaces, however since the walls in my house are white, I guess it is too bright for using it indoors, the brightness ruins my night vision, great to intimidate a threat I guess :thumbsup: ....

Your gonna love them believe me... The E1B is gonna be perfect for EDC in your pocket since it has a smooth exterior finish, very friendly with the pants pockets, and the E2DL just looks and feels so right and high quality, I would suggest you buy some sort of holster for the E2DL though cause I guess it is to sharp to carry on the pants pocket, probably better to wear it on your belt however the pocket clip it comes with is no good for the belt, well at least mine isn't, which brings up a new question, anyone with the new E2DL (2008) notice a clip change??

i saw a E1B with a sort of like purple tint. looks like its still a tint lottery. Also, the new E1B i got, had a lot black stain on the tailcap. Looks like its cause by the pocket clip pressing the tailcap. Its freaking hideous though and a disgrace to surefire quality..
